we saw what felt like the entire city on saturday {and reflecting back i'm realizing we ate most of the city this day as well}.
after a local breakfast by our apartment at maurepas we were off to city park for beers under some of the most massive trees i've seen. we later popped around town on bikes exploring the different neighborhoods and snagging po boys, the most epic cheese plate, a drink on the patio at columns hotel (this was straight out of the 1800's and amazing), dinner at coquette, and some seriously fun tunes at maple leaf
for my bday we took a 'surprise' trip to new orleans – what a fun time we had exploring this charming city. after a quick breakfast at elizabeth st cafe and a short hour on southwest we had arrived! we spent our first day settling into our ultra-cozy airbnb and exploring our little neighborhood {the bywater}, and were immediately blown away by the food, culture, music, and perfect weather this town has to offer.
happy friday!
as i sort through the 300+ photos we took in new orleans last weekend, i will leave you with last night's concert at stubbs. we bought these tickets eons ago with the mindset "hey! we're moving to austin and should see sh*t tons of live music" – i can't believe it has come and gone. vampire weekend was too much fun live {i admittedly didn't even know i liked this band until last night}, and we had a great time sipping lonestar tallboys on such a warm spring night.

my friends and family are the literally the best coolest ever –
thursday night kp took me to dinner at le noir under the impression it would be the two of us and my sis to celebrate my birth. when we arrived i was surprised by some of my bestest besties circled around the cutest little birthday table and could not have been more excited to spend the evening with them. we cozied up under the tent away from the rain and i wish i could play that night on repeat ...

hope farmer's market might be one of my go-to's, now, after spending last weekend there getting tons of awesome goodies, including ground lamb and a hand painted pic of a buffalo for $5. it was a good morning.
