i can't believe it has already been a year since this trip. we are thinking nyc will just start to be an annual thing – i love that city so much, and even more love seeing our friends who live there. thank you max and eball for being the best host and hostess ev.er.

some highlights from our trip include:
bon appetit: the most nyc-ish dinner here {champagne in the bathroom?!}, and the most nyc-ish brunch here {bottomless everything?}, delicious sandys from wogies,  the most romantic dinner at the little owl, hiding from the cold with lunch under the plaza at todd english, and a lovely send off at joseph leonards.

cheers: an afternoon at the standard  {biergarten + ice skating}, lighting my hair on fire here *whoops*, a paris party gone wrong, the book of mormon, and aah so much more. until next time, nyc.

we made the exec decision to "not celebrate" this year because we were heading to nyc that night. *sigh* i obviously still expected a card, and was blown away with the hand made gem i received {see pic below – a true arteest}. our night was spent having a very cute dinner at db and enjoying DIY chocolate covered strawberries before leaving for sfo. it was perfect and there is no one i'd rather spend a hot miserable 6-hour red eye flight with on valentines day. cheers!

part of me just wanted to spend my whole day doing nothing on sunday, but the sunshine blasting through every window made me feel way too guilty. instead i headed to sausalito with ap for some "pizza, vino, patio" aka bar bocce . i've been wanting to go here for.ev.er – and i can finally see where it gets all of the hype. what a perfect little place to spend a sunday. highly recommended to those heading over the bridge any time soon. **note, BYO blanket

the mexican fish blanket that made our picnic possible. 

unfortunately i did not get any photos of our dinner -- however seafood sunday is finally back in action. we enjoyed bbq salmon  as we watched JT rock out at the grammys. if you like salmon and the mixture of sweet and spicy, make this asap!

saturday was one of those days i wish i could just bottle up and keep in my pocket. we started out with breakfast at fraiche, followed by a hike near rodeo beach – we kind of made up our own trail *see pic below of my scaling a mountain*...

next we made our way to sonoma for lunch at our all time fav, fremont diner. i could eat their chicken sliders and macaroni and cheese everyday if it was socially acceptable. 

after lunch we quickly changed into winery appropriate clothing for the scribe winter pick up party– i can't believe it has been three months since the harvest party? there were oysters and rose and endless sunshine.

our day ended with my favorite botanical beer and the most amazing cheese plate for dinner at MVBW.
