Mid-week-home-cooked meals are... le best. Last night we made this salad with homemade pizza inspired by this recipe. However, it turned out quite different -- we used herbed salami, fresh gruyere, dates, truffle oil -- and a few more fun ingredients. Rich, but delicious. Pumpkin bread for dessert.

People eat pumpkin in the spring, too... right? Last night I was inspired by the left over can I had from this day -- and decided to make this recipe. Very tasty -- but makes me feel like it is November, not {almost} April. A few tweaks I used to make it my own -- adding dark chocolate chips and oats. Nixing the sunflower seeds.

Sunday was full of errands -- target and bed bath & beyond type errands. To come back down from the overwhelmed-ness, we had a pleasant lunch at Local Mission Eatery. The best. Later we got ice cream at Humphry Slowcombe. Even better. That night we had a fun dinner at The Grove and saw The Hunger Games.

Saturday, it literally never stopped raining.
Aside from the car battery dying, though, we had a pretty good city day:
breakfast at Fraiche, errands under the gust buster, and lunch at Sweet Woodruff { new, most amazing neighborhood spot -- two blocks away -- i am obsessed }. Later I had movie time with Marysa and the girls, followed by a night of 'seafood saturday', jenga, and Southern Pacific.

Last night we had a *celebratory* try it tuesday at AQ and loved every bit of it. The drinks... the food... the atmosphere... everything was perfect. AQ or "as quoted" is often on menus to describe fresh, seasonal or specialty items. So, the menu here transforms with the interior of the restaurant to reflect the palette and tone of the current season.

This past weekend I was happily the +1 of kp for his work trip to Tahoe. We spent the weekend in Northstar and the snow was absolutely perfect. We got in 2 great days of skiing, ate delicious food, and had one last cozy winter-feeling weekend before spring starts.

The Oliver ladies(minus Deb) were in town for a short visit this weekend, on the back end of their work trip to LA. Though it was short -- we managed to have an amazing time --
Strawberry Fields at the Tipsy Pig. Drinks + Dinner at Delarosa. Breakfast and catching up at Jane. Wandering Fillmore. SF tour by zipcar. Happy hour at Le Garage in Sausalito. Dinner at Kokkari.
And much much more. Miss these two already -- see you in May!

Had a lovely Saturday afternoon with Elise catching up over burgers, shopping, and manicures. Later that night I used my kale from the farmers market and made chips. Holy smokes they were delicious!

My favorite way to spend Saturday mornings is at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market. We got all kinds of fun things today. Girl scout cookies, sprouts, kale, flowers (and free bags), egg plant hummus, honey... and so much more. Happy Saturday!

Hump day dinners are the best way to break up the work week. Last night we made (truffle) panko crusted chicken, stuffed with hot coppa and havarti cheese, inspired by this recipe. On the side we had sweet potatoes with goat cheese. Blueberry crumb bars for dessert... Bon appetit!
