last weekend we took a very quick little trip down to long beach for some quality time with the parrish fam. we had an amazing dinner in venice {an area i can't wait to explore more next time we're in LA}, celebrated sharon's birthday, watched football, and just kept it cozy on the back patio for the majority of the weekend. looking forward to our next visit!

AP and i have really been enjoying that we now work so close together {SOMA lunch buddies what's up!} – last friday we ventured over to the contemporary jewish museum where a pop-up of wise sons delicatessen lives {you can see us at the original one here}. the food is amazing and unique, but a tad on the pricey side. but i'll definitely be back – eating in a museum makes you feel super cultural and smart and fancy.

the highlights from sunday circulate around a big delicious lazy morning, and a big football lazy evening. that's about all i got. i do, however, finally have a seafood sunday recipe worth sharing! we paired this with grilled asparagus and it was absolutely delicious. happy humpday everyone!

i'm a tad behind, so this was last saturday. and it was one of those run errands.hang out.don't make any real plans. sort of days. which are kind of awesome ones. we picked up kp's new bike {hello, profesh!}, had lunch at what has now been dubbed as "our favorite sandwich in the city" at radius cafe, relaxxxed, and had a cute family dinner w/ the commune at memphis minnies. this was all followed by a fight-hunt {apparently some important fight was on?} – that we couldn't find playing anywhere other than "great indian food", which was obviously not going to happen.

i really love the biergarten at night. i know that the fun of it is supposed to be soaking up the sun – but something about the strung lights and chilly weather just shouts coziness to me. {last} friday we chose to meet here for a beer + pretzel before dinner @ bar jules. there, we sat at the bar and had a perfect unique little meal – this restaurant truly feels like you're dining at a friend's apartment ... or something.

i've been holding back on my moab post for a while now... being that we took over 500 pictures, it has been hard to choose which ones to share with you people. we had such an amazing time double dating w/ martha and jc out in the beautiful utah desert, highlights from our first two days include:

our teeny tiny plane that i managed *not* to have an anxiety attack on {curtsey}, the brewery, the weird little music festival, desert bistro, hiking fiery furnace with rick, lunch at eklecticafe followed by grocery shopping at two amazing local shops: ye old geezer and moon flower, an impromptu hike to delicate arch for myself and kp {hardest hottest hike ever? but worth it!} an epic sunset picnic at dead horse point,  and finally a home cooked meal in our perfect moab cottage.
