saturday and sunday were jam-packed full of awesomeness. some highlights include:

brunch, shopping, drinks with a view, the most ridiculous seafood platter, maudes {i frickin loved this place}, legit chicago blues, DONUTS! on the water, strolling the zoo and the lily pools, and of course some good quality cozy time at c + e's amazing apartment.

it's about dang time! last weekend i finally went to visit and celebrate CL {soon to be CR!!}... this also came with checking chicago off my bucket list. it was so great to see my two favs. shall we start with friday? – we spent our morning snuggling with each other followed by lunch at au cheval aka home of the most delicious burger ever. afterwards we went to the j. parker, which had the best view {um, are we in cancun?} and the best rose´. i could have stayed here all day.

day drifted to night and we spiffed up for drinks at billy sunday. they put so much TLC into those cocktails i mean my goodness. next we went to the much anticipated girl and the goat. strum really is a fabulous chicago tour guide! the rest of our weekend to follow....

a sad day has finally come. AL and i no longer work together (!!!!) you can imagine my despair. being so – we’ve established a goal to meet up for happy hour on the weekly. it will likely cause us to go into debt, but that’s a risk i’m willing to take. the inaugural kh + al meet up was at coqueta {remember this day?} i just had to taste that gin cocktail again – it’s literally the best drink you’ll ever have and you can quote me on that. if you're willing to wait 30+ minutes and stalk people for their seats, then this place might be one of your new favorites.

^^ the lighting got real weird when the sun went down. oh well.

we shared delicious bites and caught up for hours. afterwards we took a romantic stroll along the pier to gaze at the bay bridge light show. a perfect little hump day.

i've been MIA. and i apologize for that. i'm currently at sfo heading to chicago to see my bff's, and my flight is delayed. lame, but hello blogging!

way back to last thursday, we had a lady date that i was weirdly excited about. i've been wanting to go to the academy of sciences nightlife for so frickin long and finally we made it happen. music, museums, cocktails and aquariums is a winning combo if you ask me. the highlight of the night was asking a random fella to insta-video us twerking infront of the earthquake sign. that's all i got.

sunday started with coffee and tea at the shed. we agreed that this might have been one of the most beautiful buildings we'd ever seen. it was part restaurant, part grocery, part kitchen shop, part garden store? and so much more. i could have wandered here forever.

^^ on the way back to sf we stopped for lunch in larkspur. my goal is to bike here one day. such a cute little area.

that night we cheated on seafood sunday again and made this flatbread pizza i saw in sunset magazine. i've been dying to try it and when we saw those heirlooms in healdsburg i knew it was fate.
