for the feastival i was tasked with bringing a festive cocktail. it has been a while since i've infused any alcohol, so i decided to try out rosemary vodka. cheers!
directions for vodka:
- empty 1 bottle of your choice vodka into large jar (i used tito's)
- place 2-3 fresh stems of rosemary in the vodka and give a gentle shake
- keep in a cool dark place for about 3 days, agitating daily... taste test vodka on day 3
directions for cocktail:
- mix 1 - 2 shots vodka with half cup of san pellegrino grapefruit
- add water or soda water to your liking
- squeeze half a lemon, add ice
we've been to mill valley beer works many, many times, however they just recently remodeled and added a complete kitchen. what once used to be just beers and snacks, is now serving full blown dinner! try it tuesday -- ** mill valley edition ** was exciting and cozy. didn't think i could love this spot any more... but, well, now i do.
we enjoyed:
pork cheek {hate the name, but was soo yummy}
cheese plate {with honey comb?!}
heirloom tomatoes {so fresh and tasty}
wild salmon {caught in marin? love it.}
happy hump day!
happy hump day!

this weekend we took a night off from seafood sunday and went to wilson and wilson's inaugural movie night. i love taking advantage of all the fun {and random} events in sf {kind of like this night}. we really enjoyed watching wayne's world over classy cocktails and popcorn. for dinner we went to sweet woodruff, our new(ish) local gem just two streets away from home. the night ended at bacchus kirk with some hilarious juke box options and me losing @ pool. ahhhh, back to work again.

saturday morning started out at fraiche. i feel like this needs to become a weekly ritual. this place is just so healthy, yummy, and cozy. what more could a girl ask for?
that night i was lucky enough to be invited to the tree house feastival. alayna and crew put together a wonderful evening filled with mimosas, breakfast tacos {including the best bacon i've ever put in my mouth. no but really. and i've had a lot of bacon.},....pancakes, waffles, and soo much more. truly an sf night to remember. thank you so much to the excellent host(s), and the fantastic hospitality in lovely potrero hill. can't wait for the next feastival!
the weather has been so typical sf this week -- cold, windy, and foggy. can't say i'm not overjoyed by this. any excuse to put on comfy clothes and eat soup and im there. so, for thursday night dinner -- we went to pho just down the street. it's local, convenient, and delicious. hope everyone has a great friday!

last night we had a guest appearance at TiT! sam and kate joined us for a cozy evening at abbots cellar in the mission, which i read about here. the architecture and design was right up our alley-- high ceilings, low lighting, and lots {and lots} of wood. the unique touches {like the drink menu built into table} gave the restaurant extra points in the innovation department. we had a great time. bon appetit!
we were more than pleased with our dishes:
beef bone marrow, house pastrami
pork chop
hand cut pasta
roasted quail
dry aged strip loin
chevre cheesecake + sticky caramel pudding
all paired with unique beers {for the guys} and wine {for the ladies}
