workshop sf: pickling 101

last time i went to workshop i learned how to make chocolates –– this time, pickling. a skill we should all probably have? with pickled veggies being so hot right now, i felt it was absolutely crucial that i keep up with the trends. some people look it up online, but i prefer to drink wine with my gal palz and learn in a group setting. and i'm now a glorified expert. we learned both how to pickle and how to can {aka it will last up to 1 year! hello pickles in 2014...}, and went home with two jars of cucumbers and carrots. my gah i can't wait to try them.
