Many Glacier Hotel Located in the “Switzerland of North America,′′ in the northeastern area of Glacier National Park. Outside, awe-inspiring majesty. Inside, a magnificent towering lobby.

Lake McDonald Lodge This classic Swiss chalet style lodge is located 10 miles inside Glacier National Park’s west entrance on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, nestled on the shores of the largest lake inside the park.

TO hike

Grinnell Glacier (11 miles round trip) This was one of the best hikes we've ever done. It was challenging, beautiful, full of wildlife {we came packin' bear spray}, and had the most rewarding ending – a glacier that will sadly melt within the next 5 years.

Iceberg Lake Trail (6 miles or so) This is a great mid-range hike from the Many Glacier valley. Enjoy the wildflowers on the way to the bluest blue water you can imagine.

Ptarmigan Tunnel (10.7 miles) Read more about this unique hike here.

to explore

Going-to-the-Sun Road This 52 mile scenic route was mind blowing. A MUST do for anyone visiting the park if you have time. The views are beautiful, and it's the only road that traverses the park, crossing the Continental Divide at Logan Pass.

Polebridge Mercantile Basically in the middle of nowhere and serves as a general store, bakery, base camp, and getaway. It is one of the anchors of the North Fork experience and an essential stop for anyone visiting the west side the park.
